Anglican Unity

Many Anglican Churches across North America are no longer in communion with Canterbury or with each other. There’s so much power in unity, yet it seems unity can only happen if we fully agree on every detail. 🤔

Yet somehow, long before schisms or reformations, the Church disagreed on things, even important things. If I remember correctly, Tertullian and Origen had entirely different views on the pre-existence of the soul. Yet both remained respected and influential without causing division. 🤔

I don’t know all the debates or details, but I often wonder: Have we become our own greatest enemy when it comes to unity? 🤔

Let’s pray for our Anglican leaders. May they seek ways to unite in Christ’s love while respecting our diversity. And in our own communities, let’s practice unity in essentials, liberty in non-essentials, and charity in all things. 🙏
